Childrens author and illustrator, Tom McLaughlin, will entertain you by reading from his books, and by sharing with you how they came to life.Hear some of your favourite stories read by the author himself, and learn about how Tom designs the illustrations for his books.
Tom McLaughlin is a local Devon author who began his career as a political cartoonist for The Western Morning News, making readers laugh at the silliness of politicians. Now he writes and illustrates his own books, including books for children. One series loved by young readers is The Accidental Series published by Oxford University Press a series of make-you-chuckle stories, where children find themselves, by accident, in a range of unexpected situations: a super spy, a billionaire, a super spy. Tom has also written and illustrated picture books, as well as working on animated TV shows for Disney and the Cartoon Network.
Toms hobbies include drinking tea, looking out of the window, and biscuits. His hates include spiders, running out of biscuits, and writing biographies!
