Welcome back to art classes at Exeter Phoenix. As part of our response to these uncertain times we have adapted our art courses so that you can book what feels right for you. We invite you to book onto as many individual sessions as you feel comfortable committing to from our series of drawing workshops.
Drawing is a skill at the heart of many creative practices from painting and animation to design and architecture. This selection of sessions will introduce you to some fundamental drawing techniques and contemporary approaches. No previous experience is necessary. The sessions are designed for anyone, from absolute beginners to those wishing to develop their skills.
We will be looking at the effect of light and shadow on simple objects and describing these with drawing and collaged tonal bars.
Places are limited and pre-booking is required. To learn about the Covid-19 safety measures we have put in place please read the following information about your visit to Exeter Phoenix >>
Sarah is a practising ceramics and fine artist and is a regular tutor at Exeter Phoenix. Observation of human and natural form (in both 2D and 3D media) has remained central to her interests. Sarah focuses on learning ways to see, that are key for expressing the world of form around us, and on sharing skills and techniques in an informal atmosphere, which bring out the best creative ideas.
Workshop attendees get 10% off all food and hot drinks at the Café Bar.
