In response to the developing coronavirus situation in the UK, Exeter Phoenix is currently closed to the public. This is a temporary measure and we reviewing this on a month-by-month basis. No events will be taking place during April the vast majority of events will be rescheduled for later in the year.
Please note that the team are working through rescheduling a very high volume of events, but please rest assured we will be in touch with all ticket holders in due course. Please bear with us during this time.
Unprecedented closures like this with no confirmed government support will be hugely damaging for charities like Exeter Phoenix and many other sectors. If you are in a position to consider making a donation HERE, we would be extremely grateful.

2019 | 82 mins | UK
Acclaimed UK adventure filmmaker Al Lee tells the story of an incredible day in the life of Jesse Dufton in his multi award-winning film.
Jesse was born with 20% central vision. At four years of age he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa: a rare genetic disease that breaks down the retinas’ cells, and at age 20 he could no longer read. By his 30s Jesses vision was reduced to just light perception, with around 1 or 2 % field of view. As a lifelong climber, he flies in the face of adversity and with his sight guide and fiancée Molly sets out on a fantastic challenge – attempting to be the first blindperson to make a ‘non-sight’ lead of the iconic Old Man of Hoy sea stack in Scotland.
Climbing Blind is accompanied by short film The Big Deal (12 mins), an action-packed profile of one of the UKs strongest female boulderers on rock; Frances Bensley.
