This moving drama of secrets and connections – a remake of Susanne Bier’s Oscar-nominated 2006 film – stars Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore as two women whose seemingly unconnected worlds collide.

Seeking funds for her orphanage in India, Isabelle (Michelle Williams) travels to New York to meet Theresa (Julianne Moore), a wealthy donor interested in financing Isabelle’s centre. Before closing the deal, Theresa invites Isabel to the wedding of her daughter that weekend, an offer that surprises Isabel although she nonetheless accepts. But when Isabel arrives at the lavish event, where she meets Theresa’s daughter and her husband (Billy Crudup), she realises she has a connection to the family that she could never have anticipated, and a complex mystery begins to unravel…
