This event was originally scheduled for Tue 14 & Wed 15 Apr but has been rescheduled to Tue 14 & Wed 15 Jul due to COVID-19.
In this exciting and action packed two day course youll be given a chance to learn the basics of independent filmmaking by getting stuck in and making a short 3 minute film.
Working with the rest of the group youll get a chance to come up with, plan and shoot a short film. Along the way you will be taught camera skills, the basics of sound recording and how to light a scene for different effects. This fun challenge is designed to get you started in the world of low budget filmmaking and helps give you the confidence to get out there and make your own masterpiece!

Luke Hagan is a filmmaker and editor and the Digital Programme Coordinator at Exeter Phoenix.
Since starting out as a freelance filmmaker and editor in 2009 Luke has worked on projects for some of the biggest national and international brands, as well as short films, music videos, feature films and a popular YouTube series. His work as a filmmaker has shown at festivals across the world, and has even won awards including several at Exeter Phoenixs very own Two Short Nights Film Festival.
